“Great Indian Food” 
“I recently visited a friend who just moved Newhaven so I she was just starting to get to know the area. I planned on staying for about a month so finding all of the essentials like nearby grocery stores, gas stations, and restaurants of course, are the first things I look for to make my “regular place”. Not only is it a beautiful, peaceful place to live, but there are a lot of choices for restaurants in Newhaven. I happened to driving around looking for good restaurants in Newhaven when I turned onto Bridge St. It looked to me as though if I was going to find a good restaurant in Newhaven that this was the street to be on.
I am a big fan of Indian food which made my first restaurant in Newhaven The Viceroy. I must say that the food and atmosphere here is absolutely exquisite. It seems like every time I go to The Viceroy, they are busy. This is a good thing to me because it means that I am not the only one who fancies the food. Recently, I gave up eating red meat so Indian restaurants in Newhaven have been my go to thing. I ordered the Nilgiri Duck. The gentleman who always takes my order is as polite a man as you will meet. All of the employees there are very kind, assisting people who have an extensive knowledge of the foods being served. My Nilgiri Duck is delightfully delectable every time I order it. The duck itself is always juicy and full of taste. With the amount of sides you get a The Viceroy, it is more than enough to fill you up. In the case that the main course at the best restaurant in Newhaven doesn’t fill you up, I recommend all of their deserts, especially the Fantasitca. Chocolate balls covered in caramel and toffee chips makes one of the best deserts in Newhaven to finish off your meal. Even today I am back in the states craving some of The Viceroy’s food.”
“The Viceroy located in Newhaven, with rear parking access and offers home delivery is a fine dining Indian restaurant.
The restaurant offers various dishes each unique to the restaurant. It offers vegetarian and also a special menu called ‘The Contemporary Menu’ and some of the dishes of that menu are absolutely spectacular. I personally chose off the contemporary menu, ‘Nilgiri Duck’, even though the prices were a bit higher I must say it was downright worth it. The dish was beautifully presented, with the actual dish inside a foil made duck!
The dish was tantalising. It was exceptional and Indian at its best. The amount of effort that was put in to the dish was apparent with every mouthful, absolutely adore that dish now.
I would say that overall the pricing for the dishes are realistic as the food is appealing and delicious and of high quality.
The staffs were sympathetic and good-mannered with a high level of knowledge about the restaurant and dishes. Also the food was sent out very quickly and was steaming hot.
The décor of the restaurant was attractive and cosy. Everything was well organised and delicately presented. In conclusion I am in love with this restaurant and will definitely visit them regularly, especially for the Nilgiri Duck.

“As always, Janet and I loved visiting the Viceroy…. We’ve been eating there since we were courting in 1989!! Its always a treat. The food is superb and the service always attentive and friendly….. and personal! Prices are, we feel, about right for such high quality…. With my poor eyes the lighting is a bit on the dim side, and while it may add atmosphere, it means its hard to see what youre eating! I just wish we could come more often!

“The Indian food here has got to be the best I’ve had. So delicious and seasoned to perfection. While visiting family in Newhaven, we ate here and had a delightful experience. The service was impeccable and the staff were very attentive to our group. We started off with the mushroom cake and vegetable samosas and I had the chicken tikka masala for my entree. Everyone else in my group enjoyed their meals as I did. The food came out quickly and everyone’s dishes tasted amazing! Definitely the best Indian food around! I would recommend The Viceroy to anyone!”

We went there and it was the best fun I’ve had in ages, with a neat and clean atmosphere. They had delicious food with very affordable prices. They provided us with great service and were very fast.
